If you are using a paid image resizing SaaS and are being ripped off, consider this:
- a Hetzner 4-CPU ARM machine: 6€/month
- Imaginary[1] - an image resizer written in Go: free
- Varnish[2], a proven HTTP cache
And you can resize hundreds of thousands of images per day without “dynamically” being billed for it.
It’s very easy to configure. I would be glad to share my setup if needed.
